Gecko is the open source, free software web browser layout engine used
in all Mozilla-branded software and its derivatives, including later Netscape releases.
Written in C++ and licensed under MPL/GPL/LGPL triple license, Gecko is designed to support open Internet standards.
The next version of searchbox will use Gecko as main layout engine to implement its rendering patented technology for document analysis.

Carrot2 is an Open Source Search Results Clustering Engine.
It can automatically organize (cluster) search results into thematic categories.
Nautilus and the clusterig module of searchbox integrate a native version of the Carrot 2 engine to implement semantic grouping
of query results.
